Really not trying to be negative here but for a tournament that a lot of people fired 3 bullets at + multiple nights of expenses 675 seems quite a small return. Very possible this is super std tho

can see your point if you pay the entry its £500 plus travel, food etc. so just a small profit.

pretty new to the live poker myself so i suppose the payout structure is what it is and it does make it good value to satelitte in if you can (not everyone can afford the £500)

having looked at the leaderboard i think it should be made clear what the booby prize will be for last place...i know you most probably deliberately didn't mention it at the start of the competition in case you offended anyone but its ok to mention it now.

771  Poker Forums / The Rail / Re: Urgent: Major problem with Sky Poker Customer Service (got 10 mins to sort) on: May 28, 2012, 03:20:50 PM
while i understand your annoyance the rules are the rules and it is on their website...however...more annoying was what happened to me last year, i won through to the next level of a satelitte after paying money...the next stage was cancelled as there was not 5 registered players and i received no credit or tokens...i had to phone (as they told me on chat they could not deal with it) and argue that you couldn't just give me nothing as skypoker cancelled the tournament...afterv saying my prize was the tournament entry fee but not understanding my arguement that i hadn't received it because they cancelled the tournament they finally entered me in to the next nights tournament and low and behold the same thing happened again and i had to phone up and go through it all again. The third night i got to play it. The easy answer for me was not to play their site and while i am still registered i very rarely use it these days (two games this year i think).

vote with your feet...there could be massive improvements they could introduce but they don't seem interested.

Chief executive Paul Faulkner is targeting an appointment to refresh Aston Villa

"We want to find someone to reinvigorate the club," he told BBC Sport.

"We want someone to bring some vibrancy back to Villa. That's what we need and that's what we're going to get

i would draw a line under today and say from tomorrow i stay out of the bookies...then you need the will power to do it and in all honesty everyone has willpower if they really try.

if you can go in a bookies and blow 1-2k on a machine and not care then fair enough but if you come away thinking what a twat i am, why did i do that then just don't go in.

when i put my usual small football bet on 2 weeks ago one man used a card to get credit on a roulette machine...bet £100 five times in a row and lost then kicked the machine swore at it and stormed out...i just couldn't understand why he bothered to go on it in the first place...but that's just me.

will power my friend...the first few times will be the hardest...if that doesn't work find somewhere else to put your money, a car, holiday etc.

oh and if even that fails...get professional help and don't be such a snob

good luck
776  Poker Forums / The Rail / Re: Norton deleted DTD software on: May 16, 2012, 08:21:23 PM
i had the same problem...i deleted dtd then ran a full virus scan then restarted the pc and reloaded dtd.
it did happen twice in 2 days but since then (and doing the above twice) it has been fine.

i also deleted all my internet history and cookies etc the second time but that could be totally unrelated.
777  Poker Forums / The Rail / Re: Dtd menu on: May 16, 2012, 05:20:56 PM
not eaten yet myself but i have seen many meals coming out and they have all looked good and tempting...the only thing that puts me off is when you see players trying to wolf it down at a table while continuing to play...not sure if you could order it and ask for it to be ready at a set time though (break time).

what time did this tourny finish please...i  noticed the £500 deepstack went on till 4 or 5 am which is no good for those working the next day and of course no one knows how deep they will run before the event so you are not going to book days off work "just in case" you run good.
