In fairness, I think that's 2 people.

Yes it is
Virgin seem to be offering no Mike’s n money seats
We both want to go

No miles and money seats but plenty of January reward seats

8th Jan - 22nd Jan is £666 + 135k miles each

You boys should be good to go now?

Should be on a plane right now but that one's cancelled

24th Nov with Matt looks promising though

We just booked to go in early January for two weeks for our Vegas fix
In the BA sale PE seats both ways £3400
Virgin currently £5600

There is Business class available through January for that kind of money?

Still a bit confused about travel to USA , I am checking online about news an it keeps saying the borders are closed for mexico and canada ? So how can we fly to mexico an stay there for 2 weeks an fly to USA if the borders are closed ? Confused  !

Hi Pete

Just the land borders that are closed / heavily restricted.

You can still fly from Canada or Mexico but then need to follow the testing/isolation rules etc

no problem at all!

I used to post a lot of pics of various different things but in recent years whenever I've tried to post some I've had some technical issue?

Is there an easy way to post direct from my phone?

The dogs are handsome, but that guy in the third pic...

Why do the papers report the deaths within 28 days of a covid test rather than those with covid on the death certificate?

No rise at all in the second figure for this wave.

Because the deaths within 28 days are quicker and on the daily dashboard?  Death certificates aren't completed quickly and data just takes more time to process. I have seen both reported.

The last sentence doesn't appear to be true.  The latest ONS report is here.

https://www.ons.gov.uk/peoplepopulationandcommunity/birthsdeathsandmarriages/deaths/bulletins/deathsregisteredweeklyinenglandandwalesprovisional/weekending9july2021

Of the deaths registered in Week 27 in England and Wales, 183 mentioned “novel coronavirus (COVID-19)”, accounting for 1.9% of all deaths; this was an increase compared with Week 26 (109 deaths).

The number of deaths involving COVID-19 in England increased to 176 in Week 27 compared with 106 in Week 26; for Wales, there were three deaths involving COVID-19 in Week 27, remaining consistent with Week 26.

Note there is a 2 week lag, so it isn't particularly good for making quick decisions or for reporting the current situation.

I was looking at this https://coronavirus.data.gov.uk/details/deaths , third graph down.

I get the point there is a lag, will be interesting to watch it over the coming weeks.

Hi im thinking of booking flight for wsop end of september , Anyone know if we can just get the flight an go st8 to Vegas ? Will they let us in or are there any restrictions . I have had both jabs also if that helps ! Thanks for any travel info

Yep, st8 to Vegas met, they don't even check your passport!  Cheesy Cheesy Cheesy

Can't get in the US full stop currently for tourism. So you can book a flight and sit back and wait with the rest of us to see if Biden lifts the UK travel ban in time for September trips.

Rumour has it he promised Merkle there would be an announcement in the coming days for Europeans which could well include us. (They were the days........ CALL!)

Don't wire to the cage for poker, they often won't let you just have it to 'spend'

FairFX cards let you withdraw $1k a day.

You can wire to the cage for the poker though and no problem if you use some for spend, just don't cash it all back in at the end of the session.

Depends what your daily requirements are I suppose.

You can also go to the actual bank depending on who you bank with and how far you are willing to travel.

I've always done cash, with multiple back up cards. Means spending can go on the cards and I can combine the withdrawal limits.

Only once has it bought about a whole different game of credit card roulette.

I always find cash with a selection of multiple back up cards

In this day and age, what's the best way to get your roll over to Vegas for playing cash games only? All of the recommended foreign travel cards only let you withdraw £300 per day which is barely a buy in at 1/3 at the Wynn, and travellers cheques seem to have died a death...

Cash is easiest.

If your not comfortable with cash then wire to the cage.
