I was in the $10 rebuy game, the rebuy period was good to me and I ended up with about 15k in chips.
I had recently donked off half of my chips
We were about 5 places from the bubble, bottom prize $70, not a major concern as I was more interested in the $10k first prize.
These were my successive big blinds.

Now I know I lost the hand but should I have folded?

If I had waited and shoved my chips in even with my smallish stack I would have had some folding equity.

Am I right in thinking that we're calling all-in with KJo just off the bubble?

We still have 8ish big blinds, we're not that desperate yet surely? I understand that 1st was much prettier, but I probably pass this still.

Even if you know that we're definately against any two, a fold is probably still the move. (60% chance against his possible hand range of the top 163 premium hands)

I'd rather take that gamble in the money, don't see it being long for it to burst in such a large tournament, and plenty similar spots will present themselves.

you tell us.. we have no idea how the guy is playing. Against your average player in that spot, KJos isn't going to be doing so great, as they typically do all they can to eek out an I-T-M finish. 75% of the field play to get in the money round these bubbles, and the other 25% go after the easy chips. Based on your experiences at the table so far, which group do you think he is in?  if its the 75%, its a clear fold, if its the 25%.. then the call is +Cev. Whether its +$ev, I am not 100% sure, but I suspect it probably isn't

but hold on a minute.. you said this:

We were about 5 places from the bubble, bottom prize $70, not a major concern as I was more interested in the $10k first prize.

and if thats the case, you dont really need to worry about Cev and $ev, so it goes back to the original paragraph, which side of the fence is he on, accumulator or squeaker.

Also, you say:

this is certainly true, but you will still have that FE if you call and win, you will just be adding to a fatter stack.. and you are going to have to accumulate chips via showdown at some stage, its close to impossible to get to the FT without showing down a hand on the river.. at least if you make inroads into a big stack earlier, you can get into the situation where later on you can lose an all-in coup, and still be in the tourney (if you have your oppo covered), and that is a great place to be. Thats not to say you should be throwing round your stack in the middle everytime you get into a coinflip situation, but if you figure to have 60% equity, your side of the coin is plated with lead.

Saying all this, I dont call in these spots unless I have a pretty compelling reason to do so, and the compulsion will be derived from whether i can accurately assume that the jammer is pushing with close to any two cards. If I can come to that conclusion, then I call, if the information isn't pursuasive enough, then I just fold

tl;dr version. Fold against unknowns, call against villains that you are quite certain are pushing with close to any two (even if he pushes with the top 50% of hands, you have 55% equity, which is more then enough for me to call with.. given that we are getting much better then 1:1 odds)

Guys
Thank you for your responses.
The truth was that I knew the guy was at-it and I was frustrated by his bully boy tactics.
Ordinarily I wouldn't call with KJo and in the future I don't think I would either.
