Just got back from a tiring few days in Luton.

A few thoughts:

-- Sorry if I ignored any blondites. I'm not very good with names and I don't know the faces of some members.

-- Well done to the Blondeites who cashed. Jen, Tikay, Malc, Camel, Lloyd, and co. - sry if I missed anyone out.  I thought the field was pretty strong for a 200 event, so reaching the final out of 140 entrants was a nice achievement.

-- I loved the blind/clock structure. It's not often you find a comp like this that allows for so much play. Some were even suggesting it was too generous. Perhaps they were concerned with being too tired for the other events.  Undecided

-- I predicted it would go to a deal with about 5 left. No suprise really when 1st is 10k and 2nd is 5k. That's a hell of a gap. Does 1st really do THAT much better than 2nd in comps? Anyhow, I saw some keen faces when the deal was mentioned.  Cheesy Who wouldn't be eager to strike a deal when they are being offered just under 2nd prize?

-- I presonally had a gr8 time. Satisfied with my performance, learnt a lot, and thought Luton put up a well organised and very affordable comp.

-- Brief message to Tikay. (aka Grandad) I'll get my revenge soon for you knocking me out the comp and not letting me outdraw you. Very selfish.  Tongue Wink I was looking forward to fluking the comp from that 1 chip.  Grin

L8ers all.  Smiley

Top marks all round to Luton. They've broken ranks by flattening the Prize Structure. Luton lead, the rest will HAVE to follow now. Sooner or later.

I think that's a little harsh James. It's particularly tough to get to get a correct Prize Structure for a shootout.

They tried to innovate, let's not jump on them if  - IF - they did not get it spot on.

sorry yes my post seems a bit harsh.

I just dont understand why they didnt use the payout structure they have been using since monday.....

I was very annoyed when i found out the structure, however it didnt affect me as i came 3rd on my table in a coinflip for all the chips!
