Awesome .... this thread delivers !

I've always liked Sid. He's a charming man who quietly goes about his business and his composure is to be admired.

All the best Sid ... See ya in Brighton sometime soon !

 thumbs up

Sid, the doctor dude who wrote the foreward to your book is into his homeopathy according to his nutrition website.

Is that something you're into? If so, and if you're ever trying to find some common ground with kinboshi for whatever reason, probs best not to bring it up.

"Perhaps the earliest known benefit of the beetroot was its use as an aphrodisiac during the Roman times. It contains high amounts of boron, which is directly related to the production of human sex hormones. Beetroot is also known to be effective in combating fever and maintaining stable blood sugar levels."

"Beet nutrition facts: Beetroots are considered to have several health benefits, because they are a rich source of several nutrients and have minimal calories. Below is a list of the various nutrients in the vegetable.

Vitamins A, B and C
Calcium
Phosphorous
Potassium
Magnesium
Iron
Folic acid
Betanin
Beta-carotene
Fiber"

I think we're all sold on the fact that vegetables are good for you.

It's the claim that we should drink a pint and a half of beetroot juice every day...

as this has been proven to increasre any athletes stamina by 15 per cent without them doiing any extra training

that is cause for concern.

Count me out, please.

Beetroot, however, is the secret of energy & longevity. Tinned salmon & crinkle cut beetroot slices are in my Top Five all time sarnies. Admittedly, an acquired taste for cultured palates.

Lol, saw this posted on Facebook.

Sid Harris: "You are always better than your opponent, when faced with difficult decisions think of something far off in the distance, maybe a polar bear walking against a katabatic wind. When you return to the decision it will be simple to solve. If you think you are being exploited, ask your opponent the question: "Is this what you want to do? Why would you want to do this?" Then give them the sign that Spock used to give in Star Trek, this ancient sign is true magic. For more ancient wisdom, go to: www.stoptiltpoker.net."
