Cheers for the suggestion - problem is working it into the S/Ware (I'd enough nightmares with the spontaneous shutdown by the computer - thank feck I was out and had noted the total chips - I had to reload the whole tourney).

Yep, that was nasty.  Was the crash caused by Tournament Director itself?

Nope - we think it was to do with the power supply (the wiring's not great apparently).

The software is Poker Clock (as TD needs internet access to initialise). Cincins paid for it.

yeah i know i really liked having that amount of chips too but i think the owners were wanting it to finish earlier, theres only a few ways to do that either you make it a freezeout, no buy ins or top ups / you lower the amount of starting chips / or as rod said in another thread upping the blinds and putting antes in.

i liked the structure but im thinking they may cancel the structure if the dont get it to finish when they would like it to finish

They have a generally flat blind structure at CinCin anyway... I'd be against raising it too rapidly (ala wabash/riverboat) but a running ante would be a novel idea.

On another note it was sad that I couldn't make it last Thursday, due to work commitments Sad I'm hoping to make either this Thursday or next Thursday

antes really slow the game down and should not be recomended for a normal weekly game

i hate playing without a running ante but alot of players hate it due to the need to keep players alert to put in a chip every hand
