Not too familiar with cash, got some hands I would like opinions on.

Hand 1 .25-.50 cash

I have 99 in the BB. UTG raises it to 1.50. It is folded around to me and I call.

The flop comes A9A. Should I lead out and hope for a reraise or checkraise or check call?

Hand 2 same stakes

I have AK in the BB and the button raises it to 1.50. Do I flat call and see the flop or reraise and then play the flop out of position? If I do raise, how much?

this is probably the wrong answer but if he's got an A your getting all his stack no matter how you play it so it don't really matter. It's like when I try to be really tricky and clever with AA and it turns out the other guy had KK so I might as well not have bothered.

2  I usually raise here. On sites where there was a pot bet button I just hit that, now I raise 3x his bet if there's one raiser 4x if there's a raise and a call before me. Could prob make a case that that's too low but it works for me.

1. Id just lead out. If he has an Ace your getting all his money, and if he dosent, you wont get much however you play it imo.

2. Id re raise to about 4/4.50 oop. then lead out on flop whatever comes.

Lead out - you might get a weak c-bet from KK/QQ by checking, but not any more.

I would overbet here - you ideally want to get the money in as soon as possible.

I prefer to call here and check-raise whether I hit or not - but my opponents are normally aware that I don't often defend my blinds, so it works for me.

Hand one, I would bet the pot, or even just over it. If he has an ace, he will raise, then move all in (Huge overbet) he WILL call with the ace, then you just gotta hope he doesnt house up. If he as no ace, then you aint getting anymore money here anyway.

Hand 2 - arguments for both a flat call and a re raise. Honestly, mix it up. Sometimes re raise, sometimes flat call, that way they never know what you have - although this does not apply to 25c 50c games, but gives you good practice.

hand 1

bet out 2/3 of the pot and if he has a little something use ur skills to maximise the pot from then on in....e.g if he calls u maybe just bet another 2/3 on the pot on the turn...or check call his bet hopefully, ideally u want all ur cash in the middle come the river...

hand 2

flat call and take it from there depending on your opponent, steal if agressive and missed flop,or slow down if your oppo is tight and betting at you

Plus on hand one, KK-JJ may often call as they won't believe you bet the flop with such a strong hand.

Thank you all

The 99 hand I check raised to which he came over the top. I went all in and his AQ didnt hit.

The 2nd I flat called and hit trips on the flop, I came out betting and he min raised to which I flat called. he shut down after that. still a nice flop. though in hindsight, i should have re raised pre i think

What are the arguments for reraising out of position with AK. The only one i can think of is that you really believe your oppo will fold a high % of the time.

1) would depend on the opponents and if I had been betting out on most flops. If I had bet on similar scary flops then I would just do the same again. If my opponents had been betting anytime I checked a flop then I'd check this one also. Basically if my opponents are aggressive players then I'd let them do the betting, otherwise I would just bet out myself. If they don't have a hand and are passive players then you wont get anymore off them no matter what you do anyway

2) I'm going to be out of position after the flop. There's a two out of three chance I will miss the flop anyway. I'm happy to take the pot down right here and move onto the next hand so a big raise is in order. I'd raise to about $4
