I got back from Manchester feeling slightly dejected after the beat i took. I decided to go straight to the casino and play the £50 rebuy and then some cash, i find myself down a fair wack early doors when this hand develops.

I am playing a stack of £470 in the cutoff the game is 2-2 PLO i call £2 with

There are 8 players to the flop which comes

it's checked around to the man on my right who bets £20, i call the £20, the button calls £20 and now the BB raises to £100. The original better passes, i call the button calls.

The turn comes down the  completing a rainbow board. The BB leads out for a pot bet of £370, i have £360 back and decide to make the call with my draw when in the back of my mind i know he could well be on a wrap himself, the button also calls.

The river

Now the BB fires in his last £55, i am feeling totally gutted at missing out on this £1450 pot, the button passes (missed str8) just as i am thinking how unlucky i have got to have missed the draw and how much i hate poker the BB announces '1 pair' i ask which pair....'a four'

HAPPY DAYS! He turns over A234 and my Pair of Jacks with a 8 kicker scoops this rather sizeable pot (for a 2-2 game!)

I know it's supposed to be about getting it quietly etc but i have never won a pot of this size with such a weak holding, it feels like a bit of justice has been served from Manchester

The very last hand of the night goes to Dewi James, who finds ACES and talks Raymond O’Mahoney into calling his all-in preflop bet of 15k.  “If I had AQ, I’d call!” says Dewi.  Raymond calls holding pocket 66’s.

Hardly a beat m8, you must have known it was 50-50 on the TT4 flop.
