I'd grab it and on the way out of the door would be wondering how the hell I got so far anyway.

They could chop it $700,000 each, and play for the $6M left over!

Wonder what the CL would say? Astronomical sums of money though.

Scotty Nyugen might refuse. Maybe not, as hes not too high on chips, but if he was nearer the top i think he might.

Interesting idea though.

a deal would affect play and the more experianced players like scotty would not want to deal as the bracelet is worth much more than the 6 or 7 million first prize

so they would rule out any deal making that would give the less experianced players help

i somewhat doubt watkinson would approve of a deal either. the moneys no big deal to him either! he's 18/1 to win on bluesq. me thinks some dolla may be put on him as he's sick when it comes to final tables.

That's a very good point - and why it won't happen.  Imagine trying to get 36 players to agree to a deal anyway!!

Imagine trying to a deal 42 ways, which is exactly what happened in the Venetian $540 2 weeks ago.  The ante's were so ridiculously high in comparison to the blinds that even if the chip leader made one wrong move he would have been in trouble.  So agree they all did to an equal split $8k to everyone, but I reckon the chip daddy took $10k, but WOW!!  It started off as one guys lame joke, then it slowly went round the room picking up momentum until all agreed!!

WSOP Main Event might be a different kettle of fish tho (no pun intended).

So it can be done!  42 Flushies obviously.

I think the top pros would be the ones to stop any deal in the main event for the reason Ironside mentioned.  I'm sure many of the qualifiers would be very happy with $700K and a chance to play on for the rest.

Have any of the main events in recent years had a deal at the final table (or earlier)?

I'd take the 700k in a second
