Anything I can do to make Blonde run better?
«

A pretty vague techy question this one, but I'm having real problems multi-tabling Blonde at the moment and I don't know why.
If I get up to about 6 tables it runs fine at first, then CPU usage starts climbing till eventually it gets to about 96% and I have to shut it all down and start again.
This is without anything else running - I can't run PT in the background at the moment.
PC is pentium 4 with 1.5 Gigs of Ram, so surely it should be capable of running 6-8 tables plus PT, but it can't get close.
Does anyone else have this problem? Is it partly just the way the software's built (I can run 6 tables on FTP, plus PT, with only very brief lags every so often)? Is there anything I might be able to do to improve things..?
It's starting to really annoy me, so any suggestions much appreciated.

erm, no idea m8. Try using the minitables, they might not sap cpu so bad, otherwise is ur system ok? ie defragmented and virus free? nothing else i can think of, gl.

That's the sort of response Blonde can be proud of
Thanks for the reply anyway lol. I have tried the mini-tables, but after about five minutes i realise my whole face is pressed against the monitor trying to see what's going on.
I think the system's generally healthy - Will give it a quick defrag and see if it gets better. Partly just interested to know if anyone else had the same problem, so that I can at least rule out it being a general issue with the software.

Shouldn't be an issue 6-tabling with the RAM and processor you have. Your hard drive isn't full (or almost full) is it?

Follow these instructions:
start > run > msconfig > startup tab
That will show you all the programs that starts up when you boot up your computer, if there are tons of programs that shouldnt be there then that will really hog your system.
Google every single startup item and see if it is useful, things like "ituneshelper" and "msnmsgr" should be unchecked because if you want to run them then you will open them yourself!
What anti-virus are you using, i used to use Norton because i was too lazy to change but its terrible, by far the worst it really kills your computer. If you want to pay for the best anti virus in the world go for Nod32 (you get a 30 day free trial).
Basically try and get rid of as many processes as possible without removing programs that are needed.
PM me if you need any help.

That above is a good post, but have you tried Computer > Window > Shop > New one

It's even better if you leave out the "> cmd" bit so that it works.

Yeah, I worked this out lol. Thanks for the original tip though - am giving it a go in preference to TCP's rather more expensive suggestion...
