i wasn't really considering chip amounts, how many left etc. just is it a call or fold?

Well these things are all relevant. It can be a great call and a shocking call depending on what state both you and the comp are in.

i understand what you're saying flushy, i think what i'm asking is would you call?
i would 98% of the time, now i'm rethinking.........my odds here were what evens? maybe slightly ahead?
you're saying that it depends on the situation, so i shall adjust my thinking here in the hope of getting better results

Sometimes you have to suffer a little bit in your youth to motivate yourself to succeed in later life.
Do you think if Bill Gates got laid in high school, do you think there'd be a Microsoft?
Of course not.

In a cash game i call.

In a tournament it's never that clear. Sometimes i am willing to put my money in knowing i am a dog, say 40%. Sometimes i will fold knowing that i have a 65% chance. It's why tournaments are so good!
