I will name and shame coz the exact same thing just happened to me and I was playing on virgin...so whatever that network is.

Yep virgin was the site, same site as happened to HoldorFold so its clearly a problem they know about and have yet to fix.

Was disconnected for about 15-20 minutes, when I found the screen I was not timing out after 30 seconds I was posting and auto folding like you would in a STT or MTT if you timed out.  There's no way he would not have known it was some problem. He would have stolen 30 or so BB and I would have folded every SB for 30 or so hands.

I'm interested that some people think along the same lines as me, it would be one of those things in a tournament but gets to close to real theft in cash games. Think I will follow the RobS system, give them 2 minutes to reconnect then go about getting the game over as quick as possible.

Thanks for all replies.

In tournaments, if you get disconnected for whatever reason (except for a server-side issue) you expect to have your chips robbed at every opportunity, you pay for entrance fee and the tournament runs on regardless.  You are only going to lose your buy-in.  In cash though, if I'm not connected I don't want my stack (i.e my money) pillaged whilst I'm helpless to do anything about it.

I guess I'll steer clear of playing cash on there.  I'll stick to iPoker and Stars.

Is it just virgin, or other sites on the Boss network?

I would expect the site to re-imburse you as it is clearly a problem.

If you have a powercut and can't reconnect is all you money on the table lost? How long do they let it go on for, ridiculous. What is your sat at $5-$10 with $1000 or more, oops.

Hi,

I'm the Poker manager at Virgin so if both of you want to e-mail me at joe@virgingames.com i'll look in to both cases and ensure that 1) any money lost in the system is refunded to you and 2) we get a full explanation in to what has happened.

I'm aware of the 'you've been siting out 10 hands' error message appearing incorrectly (this is a Boss issue, not just Virgin) but have never heard of money getting lost in the system as a result of it.

I'll keep this thread updated as i speak with Boss.

All the best,
Joe

We can name, but I see no reason to shame. A Virgin contact has posted on the site and offered help, so if it sorted and Kevin is reinbursed the money that he lost as a result of the software error, then I think they should be commended... so long as they actually address the error that is causing the problem.

As for the tale. Women and poker. They just don't mix.

I would have thought that the site would have picked this up themselves, as the play should surely look like chip dumping.  I suppose it would be sensible to avoid ticking autopost blinds if playing there, although there's no guarantee that this would prevent losses.

Fair comment...apart from the Women and poker remark grrrrrrrrrr

Thank you Joe and I will send an email shortly, i havent looked at my hand history but im guessing it will probably say i was logged in and folding even though i had no control, its not nice being sat at a 5 seat cash game and seeing your blinds go down the drain and not being able to log out. Im sure that now you are aware of the problem it will be sorted :-)

PS If I play the blonde game on Thursday can you switch the lever in my direction?
