I think tools are some of the most profitable players to play against so we should let them stay Cheesy

In reality, its up to each site to decide its own policy, for example Cake Poker dont allow HUDs, realtime hand history imports into software, AHK scripts, and so on.

If you dont like that people can use these things against you then move to a site which specifically disallows them and vote with your feet, cake has a large enough playerbase that cash and tourney players would be able to play whatever they want there. ( if you're pro then maybe not ).

Back in the days of the texas road gamblers Doyle. Amarillo and Sailor Robers would talk over hands and deal out thousands of possibilities, that was their pokerstove and their poker tracker was in their head. These things have always existed just in different forms.

These tools are all just a guide. Losing sit and go player opens first hand utg you range him wider than you would a multi tabling winner player, but AA and KK are still in that range.

Are you wanting to ban poker books, poker forums (another tool to improve your game) as well?

I don't have any issues with people taking notes, but I do have issues with the fact that there are tools that let players know how I play, if a pleyer isn't taking notes himself  or not paying proper attention to the game then thats there problem.

I don't use any of these tools I do take notes on some players on certain sites but I probably don't even utilise this to its full potential.

All PT does is act as a sophisticated note taker, based on hand history information. If a player isn't using this information to its full potential, surley that's their problem too..

There is a difference between tracking software and software that offers actual advice.

One is OK under the TOC and one isn't. (For most sites).

A good player can easily beat a player using advice software, probably even easier than if they are not (as it might tell them to fold sometimes).
