I love articles like this.

Let's all talk about how much we hate ryanair again and then book some more flights with them because they're the cheapest.

Regarding the co-pilot thing? Has he got a valid point? Can a modern plane continue a flight and come to a safe landing without a pilot?

What's the absolute minimum input a pilot has to have?

EasyJet sacked their CEO last week, as they are being owned by the ever-increasing success of RyanAir, who have delivered yet another eye-watering set of results, & their cash mountain continues to build ever higher.

RyanAir are right up there, with Tesco & Rolls-Royce, etc.

Wonderful to see a business do so well.

You reckon eventually we are gonna have to pay if we want a pilot?

Ryanair chief executive Michael O’Leary once said: “At the moment the ice is free, but if we could find a way of targeting a price on it, we would.”

Whatever your thoughts on RyanAir, I think its refreshing to have a bit of brutal corporate honesty from a CEO like this guy does all the time, where 99% of his peers would spout some bullshit about customer service.

Ryanair serve a great purpose, which is to get from A to B as cheaply and safely as possible.

Personally if it's cheap enough I,m happy to sit on a crate with the chickens
If I can get where I want to go safely!

Ryanair wouldn't claim to be cheaper than Easyjet and offer double the difference if they were not, then limit the refund when they weren't and then only refund the actual difference because too many people took advantage of their ill advised promise. Whereas  Tesco .. http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-1381641/Tesco-axes-Double-Difference-refunds-hijacked-savvy-shoppers.html

A spokesperson for Asda said: “If you claim to be the cheapest, call me old-fashioned, but it helps to really be the cheapest.” I don't see O'Leary allowing this kind of easy target to be hit.

From the bbc

http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-13513981

Ryanair said its 90-minute flight at 41,000ft showed there was "no visible volcanic ash cloud or evidence of ash on the airframe, wings or engines".

Ryanair said the "red zone" over Scottish airspace where ash has been classified "high-density" was invented by the Met Office and the Civil Aviation Authority (CAA).

But a CAA spokesperson said: "The CAA can confirm that at no time did a Ryanair flight enter the notified area of high contamination ash over Scotland this morning."

Ryanair then proceeded to inconvenience passengers at Edinburgh by checking them in and boarding planes only to back down and send them home...
