Not quite as bad as Red's but still pretty dire.  Problems with living too far from the telephone exchange Sad (I'm supposed to get up to 8mg)

I called my SP. At the moment my broadband speed is 2Mbps which, by incredible coincedence, is to be upgraded to 4Mbps today.

mine is pretty dire, only have a 1meg connection (amazing that that's now considered shit eh?) but it mainly seems to be the Wii interfering with it that makes it slow.
