Due to a kind benefactor we're in a position to ask for an updater for Walsall, not including final table day.

There will be a small fee plus hotel and travel costs covered, provided to you asap

Sorry for the short notice but its only come to pass in the last 24 hours

You'll need your own laptop, and we can get a digital camera to you if need be, or use your own

If you are free for any or all of the 4 days of the GUKPT Main Event at Walsall starting tomorrow and would like to help please get in touch asap via PM

Until or unless we're in a position to restore the full update service ( hopefully later in 2009 ) we're looking at doing "community" updates for future GUKPTs with volunteers or low costs covered by donations, so if you think you'd be interested on either count even if not available for Walsall (a potential updater, a potential benefactor) please let me know

Thanks

Go back to work tomorrow after 7 rest days or I would have done it free as you have helped us so much. If there is any chance I can get a day off I will let you know.

I'm grateful to everyone who has offered, & others who may yet offer. Thank you.

Same thanks must also go to the mystery blonde who has kindly offered to pay a bit of money to help make this happen. He's a Top Bloke, imo.

We really do want to "keep our slot" at the GUKPT Update Tables if we can, but as you all know, money is a bit thin right now.

Ideally, in the near to medium term, if the pick up in Cardroom actvity & Sponsorship/afiliate interest we have seen in the last 3 to 4 weeks continues, with Flushy's input a bonus that is still to come once he's back home, I'm very hopeful we can restore a full Update schedule (I'd settle for GUKPT's & DTD's), get the Updaters (Flops & snoops) back, & move on. But we have some bills to pay first, & these must take priority.

So this possible interim solution might be just perfect. (We will be doing the DTD Updates for the medium term, come what may, thanks to Rob Yong & DTD).

So thank you. That's all, really - thank you.

Can we rely on you to get knocked out, though? Wink
