I wanted to back myself for the UKPT Newcastle with Blue Square.. someone tried all limits from £150 each way down to £60 each way..and it kept saying stake too high. wasn't worth the effort for less

I think £25ew is the limit on those before they have to get authorised if I remember correct.

If i remember rightly it wasn't so much the amount of money you were trying to wager that blocked the transaction but the size of the return. Blue Square was one of the account i used when regularly putting bets on the USPGA. Anytime i tried to put a bet on one of my "dark horses" at around 150/1 to 200/1 it would always reject my bet unless i was putting something like £5.00 e/w on - sometimes it would even come up with the maximum of how much i could place on that person and it usually worked out that it took my returns above a certain figure.

They would accept the bet if i rang the bet thru on their telephone service but in the end it was too much messing about when i wanted to just put a quick bet on online so i stopped using them.

I doubt there is going to be many more than 100 runners, for once there was some stonking value in a poker betting market.

As someone mentions, the limits are always smaller online and you can usually get more on over the phone (for all markets).

Next time drop me a text/email/PM and i should be able to help you out.  We're never going to allow massive liabilities to rack up on these poker markets but you should be able to get what you're after.

Next time drop me a text/email/PM and i should be able to help you out.  We're never going to allow massive liabilities to rack up on these poker markets but you should be able to get what you're after.

My limits are very small for obv reasons at Blue Squirrel and the one time I tried to ring in a bet the supervisor told me in no uncertain terms it was pointless calling up for a bet in the future.

Maybe now Steve has left there is more liberal attitude to laying bets
