I was looking about before the main event for the odds. I couldnt find any that gave odds for the winner, all i could find was November 9 odds. Ladbrokes had Ivey at 60/1 to make FT, players like Lederer, A.Black, De Wolf, Dwan, Hansen all around 70-90/1. Most others were around 150-300/1 for final table with any other unnamed player at 1000/1 just for final table.

Good on you making a good profit off this is he pulls it off but i really can't believe you put this kind of money on these odds

Are u sure? 1000/1 on any unamed player would make it almost worth having a tenner on everyone!

do you know everyone's name who played?

both prices quoted seem like BS to me, people quote prices that don't exist as well as oddschecker

Er no.

Lol

I was just making the same point that it sounds like crap.

If i was to have attempted it my betting slip would have said

WSOP 2009
£10 to final
Players 1 through 7000
Non runners = void bet
Total Stake £70,000

Cheers for the feedback ....

Spent some time last night going thru hedging options and as mentioned, not as lucrative as first hoped - thanks to those who proposed a few various options, do have some time to work through these and decide what I'm going to do...

Daniel Alaei 751 (.2)
Alexander Kostritsin 751 (.2)
Isaac Baron 751 (.2)
Andrew Robl 751 (.2)
Jimmy Fricke 751 (.2)
Soren Kongsgaard 751 (.2)

Jeff Lissandro 1001 (.2)
Alex Jacob 1001 (.2)
Jordan Rich 1001 (.2)
Nam Le 1001 (.2)
Cliff Josephy 1001 (.2)
Chris Bell 1001 (.2)
Trond Eidsvig 1002 (.2)
Nikolay Edvakov 1001 (.2)
Mark Vos 1001 (.2)
Kirill Gerasimov 1001 (.2)

btw, if anyone does know how to drop James a line, would be appreciated ....

LOL Nikolay Edvakov

You've obviously never played with him.

If he ever wins the main event I'll give up poker. He makes Flushy look like a half decent player.

Cheers Karl, much appreciated - I probably enjoyed his progress almost as much as the Hit Squad did! May end up letting it ride and see how things develop initially when the Nov9 start playing ...

I think Phil Iveys the only person id back in a 7k runner tourny @ 751/1.

Possibly Tom Dwan too.
What tournament  has he ever won?  Has he even ever went deep in a big tournament?

2 WPT finals and 2 WSOP finals, not bad considering he doesn't play that many.
