Play because you enjoy it, not because you want to do it as a a profession.
I spent a while out of work a couple of months back. Its easy to play a couple of games during the day and think to yourself that if you just managed to play at a slightly higher level and playing a few more hands a day that you can make money out of it.
I know i had these thoughts after not being the most stupid of players but also not being the sharpest that it would be nice to do it. The trouble i found is that when i thought about this was that i put more pressure on myself and tried to make moves when i shouldnt have and paid people off not paying attention or when i didnt believe that they really did have the nuts.
I just found that i played much better when i didnt put mysef under this pressure or mode of thought. I had a similar problem whilst going for the SAS on here, Between arguing with myself and aol to keep connected forcing me to play mornings till lunch rather than the evening when a few more casual fishes appear that i crumbled.

If you havent been playing poker with money online before then i would advise you do it. The more the limits go up the less of a luck fest it becomes, The world of free internet poker is filled with people spending their days limping and calling with any two. Make sure that you have plenty of back up in your bankroll and relax. Its not easy money but you can make some out of it if you take your time.
