this is a much easier call than the A3 hand discussed elsewhere, his range is wiiiiiiide and the blinds are huge

 

initial thoughts off top of my head

you are in the money
you have him covered
you close the action
he has 6bbs and it is 4 handed - blinds come round much quicker
don't agree that villain could have "ATC" in previous hand - although his range is wide

I cba to start this up again - but you merely confirmed everything i thought on the last thread by saying it here, your only valid point here being that you close the action

meh i wasn't having a go but was just expecting someone to point out that i would happily call with A4s but want to fold A3. Happy to agree to disagree on the A3o hand

Would call most people in this spot - however, the player mentioned is one I'd think twice, maybe three times about. May well pass and consider an open shove a hand or two later, with a slightly smaller stack, as more value than calling here

Wondering if people are using the word 'solid' to mean different things in this thread..?

I think this should almost always be a call but can fairly easily imagine spots where it could be a pass.

fwiw i have played a tonne with John/derek on-line and he is shoving very wide in this spot (he is riverasusual on ipoker)
