I think the thing with Dave - or as he'd say "I fink the fing wiv Dave" is that he always finds time to offer a little encouragement to us regular guys, and it's genuine too.

Shame he supports Liverpool though.

WHAT!?!?! Thats one of his best qualities, and is the reason I favour DC over Helmuth as my favourite poker player (aside from myself of course).

congratulations el blonde!  I have to say not been playing for long but saw you at robs home game and my other half said " look its dave colclough" i said "who" (sorry-was young and niave) the more i play and watch poker tv i know now what a great professional player you are , and what a big name you are, so playing on the same table as you at the blonde bash was a previlage and i now say to my fiends "i played againt dave colclough" and now they reply "who" and i cant believe it!! Was a pleasuer bluffing you off aces!  I will always remember how scared i was after you showed me that ace card and i prayed you wouldnt call as i didnt want to stop playing (also didnt want to look like an amaturer!)

so thanks for the great experience, sorry about my spelling (crap education!) and congrats on the award!
