I have just been told that I can't get a private number plate of a car without an MOT. Is this the case?

not really sure. both possibly or neither. got someone who wants to buy the car as is stood at the moment. the trouble is he wants to take it away then transfer the plate back to me. not sure i would be able to trust them to do it. especially as he is a probation officer and knows my ex |

unless u know him dont let him take the car untill u taken off the plate buddy, i go on a lot off car web sites and there so many saying they just sold a car with the understanding they would transfer the plate back but never did and one bloke took it to the the small claims court and lost .

No idea really what the plates worth. It's CA51NOl ... CA51NOC is £10k and CA51NOG is £11k on this site | Click to see full-size image. |
 I think casino with an l looks better than with a C or G but then think it only cost £3k from the DVLA originally. The car is a Porsche cayenne with mot value prob £9-£10k but its been stood on my drive 18 months and wants about £2500 to service and get through mot |

i wish I had invested money in things other than pention funds, would have been better of burying that dough under the patio. |
