at this point are even beaten by ace high.
But you might be winning with K high!
OK fair enough..but would you risk your entire tourney on that? I probably wouldn't.
I don't know what I would do actually - when faced with a situation where I might be ahead and when I'm not I have outs, I do tend to call tho.
See, my problem here (and most peoples I think) is that it's Ali and you always expect him to have rubbish when he raises. But he is a consitently cashing player who does really well.A large part of that has to be from people who simply don't believe him when he sticks all his chips in.
Well that can happen with a number of better hands as well e.g if Julian had A8 we would be having a different debate, here when he's behind Jules almost def has outs.

well, with A8 here I'd have no problem with the call. I am saying that the outs you have aren't even that good as you are only drawing to the low end of the open ender. (essentially only to the 4) If Ali turns over say K 10 (and with him you never know) you only have 4 outs.
anyway..that's the beauty of being up against someone like Ali..you never know what the right play to make is..but I would fold and take his chips some other time.

Are you sure?
Anyway, I would prob fold as well, but if I was errr sponsored I might see it a good opportunity to bag a win.......

4the record, i sponsored myself for this one....
it took a while, but i eventually called, knowing i was gambling.
my reasoning was;
4's & 9's were very likely to be good,
hitting a K is prob good,
hitting a 5 might be good,
& on a very good day king high might just be good.
ali flipped up A7 and i'm embarrased, but pleased to report that i hit the 5 followed by the K to scoop.
in hindsight i think it was technically a bad call, just interested how bad people think it was (i've got plenty like this...
)

yes, went onto win which is obv. important after gambling with a big call like that - it really is horrible if you don't close it out after sucking out

I'd fold. When I read the post, I thought he had the open ended draw. I'd imagine he makes the complete bluffs on people who he believes will only call with big hands, you're not one of those players.

awful call for me and would have to be an instafold, come to think of it I wouln't have limped with K5 either......what am I saying- I wouldn't have even been in the final
I agree with snoops actually, ali is less likely to bluff someone who is known to make "world class" (fine line between world class and idiotic) calls.

defo fold for me.
Ali's a complete lunatic but there is method to his madness for the most part, best way to exploit him is to have better hands so for that reason I'd not wanna limp-call anything against him pf. just play big hands strong and you'll likely do fine vs ali
