$310 back in stacks

Ship, check-call, check-fold?

Thinking about this it seems like potting the turn wasn't the best play - what does everyone think about that? $430 in the pot and $740 in stacks if I bet/call $280 that gives me $460 to ship the river with and potentially some more fold equity against bad 2p's - however defo sacrifices fold equity on the turn which is where we really want it....

No real info, the player has been buying in 50bbs and hasn't really played that well - although not done anything noteworthily bad...

I mean is he calling flop and turn with 9 T type holdings? maybe 9 T J x?

in which case probably check river to let him bluff?

the   is such a sick river card, I'd bet river anyway because you may still get a fold and if not I think you're inclined to call off the rest anyway, unless you have a clear read on the villain

the villain defo has a showdown hand so may check the river down, unless he has double combo draw and got there with the  , but I'm sigh calling it off here for his stack.

I can't see the villain having 88 JJ on this board because I think they pretty much ship the turn, feels more like a combo draw like   or 55 with a draw and is holding on for dear life..

More info on why you should not have potted the turn? the way I see it is you have the Nut draw and the villain could potentially fold, if not he usually should get his stack in if he's been buying in short anyway.

Im not saying I shouldn't have potted the turn, just asking if you think it's a good play or not, I really wanted to get max turn FE as he's still very likely to have plenty of equity and could well fold a lot of it.

I'd put it in - can't check fold for that amount and I don't think he is as likely to try to bluff if he missed as he is to call off the rest if he's got a pair. Too much in there.

Really horrible spot.

I ended up checking, my thinking being he prolly WOULDn't jam any two pairs that didn't raise at some point prolly when he ships he has 67/26 with hearts but I think most of the time he'll check back (i'll call if he ships) I just wanted to save money those times he just has 2p and will defo call the river ship and if he bluffs even a tiny % of the time getting such a good price I can argue my river call is b/e~ (even though it could well not be lol)

Think I should bet the turn a little less on reflection, just for value more than anything else.
