Very weird bug

Help required for fellow poster "MC". He has started his PC up yesterday and he was getting lots of spaces between words and letters when typing.

Here is a convo we are having on skype:

Although incredibly funny for me, it's very annoying for me so he needs a solution. It doesn't do it all the time either, seems to be about 50/50.

Any ideas?

When he unplugs his keyboard it still happens.

He just went to click on start but it snap shut because space bar closes it.

(He's tried a different keyboard and it still does the same thing?  Is it a laptop or desktop?  If it's a laptop, remove the space bar - carefully - and see if it continues.  Like Andrew said, sounds like the space bar is stuck and firing intermittently.)

It's nothing to do with the keyboard, which makes it a very weird problem

Seems to have ceased from doing it for the time being. Hopefully that won't change!
