Having been booked how can you be so brain dead to poke the ref? He will still get his £250k a week for the next fortnight anyway so why would he care. It's not like he is still going to be there next season.
I was working for John Kirkland when he took over the Chairman's role at Derby County from the late Mr Maxwell.
John was - is - immensely wealthy, but has always been a bit "funny" with money. Travels economy when he flies to the USA, etc.
Anyway, he came storming into my office one day shortly after taking up his new role at Derby County.
"You'll never guess what I discovered. You'll never guess"
he spluttered, as he went red in the face, & steam started issuing from his ears.
"When our players are suspended for disciplinary reasons, we STILL PAY THEM. How bloody daft is that? I'll soon put a stop to that.
Very logical, was John.
Do clubs pay the fines for players?

Just looking up on the cards
"Players in the Premier League receive a fine of £10 per red card and £15 additionally for every 5 yellow cards received. These fines are administration fees and are imposed by the Football Association. A player who receives a red card is also given a suspension. These rules are set for every tier of football across England including the EPL and Championship all they way down to Sunday League games. The FA is also responsible for other disciplinary action."
Tenner fine for a red card, is that still correct? The link I used was dated 2012.

One of my U16 players was fined £10 for a yellow this season, think it might be £15 or £20 for a red.

Has anyone seen G2L as I'm a little worried about him?

referee was excellent wasn't he?
quite the rarity to see such an assured set of decisions, especially at the stretford end for the Januzaj one
the intimindation factor of old trafford on and off the pitch definitely missing, for referees included
I thought so, yes.
The lad Januzaj is a wonderful talent, such a shame he does things like that. A few 6 month bans for that sort of thing would do football the world of good, imo, it is becoming commonplace.
Didn't they say on the commentary that he's been booked more times for diving whilst at United than he has scored goals for them?

Something like that, yes. It was his 4th card this season for "diving", I believe.
To a degree, Managers & Coaches must share the blame, too.

It's a 'risk v reward' thing though. Whilst players win penalties and get opposition players sent-off with their diving and simulation; and seldom get punished for diving (other than last night), then they're going to continue to do it. I'm sure their managers don't mind either if it wins them games and gets them up the league...

Ha I posted my thoughts on Facebook Ralph.
Shocking defending- we would be in serious shit if it wasn't got de gea.
Great refereeing- disgraceful by di Maria and adnan.
Really pleased for Welbeck and am glad he celebrated his goal- I think this should always happen unless you're relegating your former club.
Finally arsenal did not impress me much at all. They were just fortunate we were so bad. Id be more concerned as an arsenal fan than a United one for the times ahead

Pretty much agree with all of this.
The game was great for the first 45 minutes, atmosphere good, temp high and spirits were high amongst Unit fans.
The changes at half time seemed to take the wind out of the platers and the fans, has it been said yet whether these were linked to injuries or not?
The 2nd half we played better with 10 than 11. When we had 11 I said to my mate, it looks like they have got one more man than us even though we are having most of the ball. Arsenal looked a lot quicker and fitter than us which at this level should just not be as visable I think.
De Gea is bailing us out of a lot of CRAP!
If we are not going to lob Falcao on in this situation then when are we?!
I was glad Welbeck celebrated also, although I wish he would have just celebrated in front of Arsenal fans and then Van Gaal.
United are just boring and frustrating to watch for large parts of the game, i would rather we lose and try and play good football than get draws and scrap through luckily playing punt the ball up to fellani.
