This is basically what it all means to those of us that grew up with Star Wars.

We're roughly the same age (I think). Is Star Wars a cinema thing for you? It's more a watching it repeatedly on video thing for me. I went to see Jedi in the cinema in London with my dad when I was some years old, and had my first ever chicken nuggets at McDonalds too, but I can't remember a thing about the film at the cinema. Can still remember those nuggets mind. Probably explains a few things...
Yes I'm 36.
Earliest memory was watching it on video as a kid.
Then a very strong memory of watching Return of the Jedi in the cinema. Inside the cinema they had a toy shop which sold all the star wars toys, and I was bought one and playing around with them during the film.
Mostly though it was rewatching them none stop on video.
Funny thing though, my Dad was even more obsessed with the movies at the time, and he was well over 40 when they came out. He actually owned a bunch of the toys which he had in a display cabinet, and we were not allowed to touch. Anyway after months of begging my mum eventually cracked and emptied the cabinet, and inevitably I lost and broke a bunch of them. Presume they would have been worth a few quid now, though not in their boxes.
