I noticed yesterday there is a public notice attached to a lampost outside the Glasshouse student accomodation (just behind the Victoria Centre). It says they have applied for the first floor of the small shopping section of the accomodation to be used as a Casino. It seems a strange location if it's going to be run by Gala, seeing as though the smaller of the two existing casinos is just around the corner (5 minute walk). But surely this won't go ahead? A casino as part of a student accomodation complex? Sounds a bit off to me.

Added to that, I heard a rumous mentioning the old NCP car park behind the cornerhouse (which is now in pieces) will also feature a casino. Does anyone know any more about that one?

I heard a stanleys and another casino were planning to open. I was talking to Ken from the Gala about non-smoking and he said something about two new potentially nonsmoking card rooms. might be worth a look until DTD opens. then that'll be 'the office'

I live at the Glasshouse, so you can imagine what a 15 second walk will be like. Either heaven or hell. The cards will decide.
Theres a fair amount of floor space, but I can't seriously see it having a card room. DTD it is!

The one opening in Tinity Square opposite the Victoria Centre is a new Stanley casino so I am told.

The casino opening in June, according to the latest rumour in what was the old

Co-op department store on Upper Parliament St., is owned by London Clubs, who also own The Sportsman in London.

We will soon have plenty of choice in Nottingham.

Non-smoking cardrooms, house dealers etc. Should keep us ticking over until DTD opens.
