well i think it sounds like a farce. its up to you how you play your cards. was the manager one of the other players mum or dad?  telling you to stop bullying the kids?

seriously though, i saw this kind of thing happen on stan james. i was watching a final table (MTT freeroll) and the players called the poker manager as 2 out of 4 left were saying they should not have been in the tourney as they did not have enough raked hands.  arguments broke out and somehow the poker manager ended up telling one of the complaining players that he was not as good as the 2 who didnt have enough raked hands to play. you can imagine that all hell broke loose at this point. its not the managers job to tell players how good they are in comparison to others and its not their job to say that a player is spoiling the game. hard to beleieve isnt it?

mad

Nah ther ewas no relatonship mad.

True dave they dont, the game is £1 /£1 which is effectively the same as a .5 / £1 game.

the only reason its £1 / £1 is because they dont have .5 chips.  just to clear that up.

Again I stress I would not wind anyone up about this, I appreciate its possibly the first negative thing posted about Cincins but I had to get it off my chest. It really had left me with a bitter taste.

Agression = Pot building = More rake?Huh?Huh?Huh?Huh??

Did you misunderstand management perhaps? Were they in actual fact saying that you were too mouthy for the game and to keep yer big gob shut?  Cheesy

By criticizing your aggression, were they perhaps referring to your demeanour rather than your betting actions?

Nah, it was nothing to do with my usual table banter, It was more to do with me pushing people out of pots with bets, another example was I knew a guy was drawing and my guess was a straight, I made it £60 to draw for it as I had Pocket Queens, He folded and I took the pot down. he asked to rabbit hunt and I had no problem with this. He would have hit. ( great more action for me next time )

With a well placed bet I won a pot rather than lost the pot.

To be fair my table banter was at a minimum last night, I did'nt need to as I knew who was calling me and I knew how to get them to fold.

The criticizing was about my game play and my aggression, nothing else although if it was about speach play then I could understand, but it was not.

The 2 blokes were not blondites Laz however I think everyone knows who is managing Cincins at the moment.

To be fair to the 2 mates that were playing they were looking for an easy going game with little aggression involved, when they were in pots together they were betting £2 and £5 max. I believe the maximum pot when they were in a hand together was £15 and they were flashing cards and having a general laugh, which is probably what they were looking for, I tale the game seriously so I was playing properly. Thats probably where the friction came from.

If this is the truth, then I am astonished as well.

As the only 'management' in the Cincinnati at the moment is Sid, I assume that you are referring to him. I will discuss this with him upon my return to Glasgow.

Quite frankly, I despair at the whole situation.

Dave I've pm'd my reply,

However In hindsight I have to appologise for the Negative post guys, Its almost as bad as a Bad beat post, I should have been more diplomatic and discreet rather than venting in the open forum, however I was not in a diplomatic mood at the time of the initial post.

I appreciate the opinions shared by all who posted and I hope I have not put anyone off playing at Cincinatti's.

Kinds regards

Thats what forums are for...  sounds at first glance that Cincins is DEFINITELY a place to be avoided...  A quick reply from them wouid do wonders to cool things a bit as it looks as if a very bad decision by the manager may have consequences further down the Line..   What a place to have the Blonde Bash.  Will the chip leaders get told to sit out because the other players are not enjoying themselves?

On the other hand one bad decision by an employee (who should perhaps be an ex employee) shouldn't effect anything if it gets explained quickly.     I reckon you should be asking for an apology

to be fair this has been the first dodgy decision made at Cincins, To err is human after all and in no way would I tell anyone to avoid the Cincinatti club, Its a great place, it has a great atmosphere, One bad decision does not mean its to be avoided.

I still reccomend Cincinatti's to everyone, I think my initial post has caused some undue negativity towards the club. Which I think i have to shoulder the blame for.

This one incident is not the yard stick to measure Cincinatti's by, I myself hope to enjoy plenty of future poker games at Cincins, Its like everything else in life, you need to get somethings wrong before you get it right.

Thats a wee bit OTT Cyber, wrong decisions are made regularly in all cardrooms/casinos, this seems to be an isolated incident in my experience at Cin Cins.

TBF the manager doesnt post on here so its unlikely you'll get an explanation from him but DC has said he'll look into it & he knows both parties involved.

Your right mate, You go there and have the advantage of knowing the place and I have never played Live before so you have the experience to make a far more informed comment than I do..  The thing that gets me though is that its such a monumentally stupid decision, Its not a wrong call by a tournament director or someone setting a stupid structure. Its a HUGE blunder and an insult to what should be a valued customer..   Through this forum I know of the amount of work and sweat that has went into getting Cincins off the ground and its brilliant that Glasgow has such a place.  I hate to see peoples hard work going to waste and If it had happened to someone other than Newmanseye it might have lead to complaints to the Local council, papers, gaming commision and all sorts of crap could have been stirred up..  Bad management like that makes a very good case for clubs to be Licensed like casinoes so that patrons can have at least some sort of protection and I think thats the last thing thats needed..
