I was in a live cash game .50 /1 and we are four handed, I have been out playing the guys with stacks and managing to build my own stack, I was then told that I was too aggressive for the game and its no fun playing against me.

The manager was pulled over who aggreed with the other punters that I was spoiling the game.

Here is an example of me spoiling the game.

my hand  Two Diamonds three clubs

flop

I lead out and bet £15 after a pre flop raise of £5

I get 2 callers and the turn is

I bet again £45

and both guys fold, one with a  and one with a  .

I say good fold and show my  Two Diamonds three clubs showing that they just got owned!!

To me this is poker, I out played theyse guys when the board was scary, how can any poker room manager aggree with these punters???

As long as you were getting it quietly, i.e no rub downs I can't see what you did wrong. Sounds like they need to develop a sense of humour?

It saddens me to say this happened at Cincins, This is no joke,  Even after some sleep I am still annoyed.

I happen to play a good loose aggressive game short handed, Now if these guys just had to call to  catch me, I made it expensive so they did'nt call.

what made things worse was I flopped the nuts twice after this happened and because of the complaints and pressure from management I allowed myself to be out drawn, only to be told I was not paying anyone off for their hands!!!!!!!

I understand that Cincins is is going through a period of change, I just hope this sort of behaviour does not continue.

i hope you are still at the wind up m8.

if not then im dissapointed, surely we all have the right to play the way we see fit. otherwise we will all just be going through the motions
and the best hand will always win. we may as well deal face up!!

as long as there were no excessive rub downs i really dont see the problem.

maybe the other players tcould post there point of view.

To be fair the other 2 blokes with stacks were mates and they were looking for a "friendly game". I was not rubbing anyone down, I just wanted to make some money. I managed to bust the fourth guy at the table.

I understand that the management wanted to close the table as a three handed game will not rake very much, however thats no excuse to chnge the rules.

At one point the management suggested that it go from a 0.5 / 1 game to £5 before the flop just to get the rake going.

Dont get me wrong I dont mind paying the rake, I do mind the game jumping out of my range just to earn a rake.

To be fair I could have played these boys blind, they players were nice guys and as the addage goes the nicer the guy the easier to part him from his money, What concerns me most was the management stand point and increasing the blinds at random.

I want the Cincinatti club to be successful, I enjoy the club, However this style of shoddy management does the club no favours at all.

well i think it sounds like a farce. its up to you how you play your cards. was the manager one of the other players mum or dad?  telling you to stop bullying the kids?

seriously though, i saw this kind of thing happen on stan james. i was watching a final table (MTT freeroll) and the players called the poker manager as 2 out of 4 left were saying they should not have been in the tourney as they did not have enough raked hands.  arguments broke out and somehow the poker manager ended up telling one of the complaining players that he was not as good as the 2 who didnt have enough raked hands to play. you can imagine that all hell broke loose at this point. its not the managers job to tell players how good they are in comparison to others and its not their job to say that a player is spoiling the game. hard to beleieve isnt it?

mad
