The table has experienced a high turnover of players, so not many solid reads available as yet.

He called the flop raise instantly but delayed before calling the turn raise, obviously the 7 is a terrible card for me. Good or weak laydown do we think?

It looks a bit weak, but We dont know enough about how your opponent has been playing, did he usually bet his flush and straight draws?

I know i would not have let him get to the river I would have pushed on the turn.

Did he show you the cards?

Yeh the turn bet shouda been at least 1k bigger, 'course he didn't show!

I was left with 9k, below average but blinds at 1/200 meant I couldn't justify risking my tourny on it, esp without a solid read.

I like 97s, but not enough to limp in EP with it. You're going to be dumping it preflop to any meaningful raise.

You can call.....but you'd be likely on your arse if you did.

Good fold.

limping with 97? deary me. the problem i have with the way you played this is that you've limped with junk. flopped the best possible 3 cards you could and then closed up.
you have to ask yourself what you're calling pre-flop to hit. and if you hit that whats the point if you're gonna cower away later in the pot? it's not the most threatening board in the world and the fact he's gone all-in and not bet say half his remaining stack makes me more inclined to call here personally. from the way the bets have been played out he can't have a flush. i think he probably has J10 here.

my opinion..........

easy fold preflop Smiley

then, as tempor says, what exactly were you hoping to flop if you fold this..............easy call for me, but I'd advise you to take it down earlier if you are capable of folding to an all in on the river.
If you decide to not take it down on the turn, and then fold on the river if it feels wrong, then  you played it badly and should lump it on the turn.

i'd have kept him in, but also called on the river.
