Etiquette in poker ?

Is that not an oxymoron in a game where lying is the norm. ?

Obviously the line is drawn at cheating, but etiquette I'm not sure about.

I think for "etiquette" read "convention", or "custom and practice".

The whole point it is that a relative newbie was kinda humiliated & chastised in front of others, & given the impression that there was an "etiquette" that made it somehow improper.

If I had been present when it happened, I would have asked Red-Dog to smack him in the chops. Bet that's not etiquette either.

And I KNOW you are on side with me here Ralph.

Well not me, it just makes my blood boil. Now, don't start me off again, I'd just settled down.

Neither, they are different things.

And I do NOT tolerate "same village" collusion. Ask the boys at Nottingham, whom I named & shamed!

And in Ponte's case, experienced players were belittling a relative newbie, & lying to him too. Not acceptable to me, not never.
