Your comments make sense to me anyway, I think based on the chip positions near the final that 4500 would not make much difference to you in the long term although obviosuly we will never know that.
By the way do you dwell holding KK on a 234 flop against the low stack? I found that very bizzare on tonys part.
Goodluck for your next tourney Sir

I didn't understand Tony's dwell at the time. He trapped me good and proper with a monster and fortunately for him I was all round the flop to commit to it but missed
I played with Tony for a long time that 2 days, and we got on well and it was a pleasure to play against him , a tough but fair opponent.
Well done too Scott, great result.

I think there was a thread about some guy in an online sat who announced he had AA before he went all in cos he was so scared of being out drawn. Can you do that live? Say something like, look guys there's a player on that table just about to bust out, there is only one hand I would possibly do this with. And then push.

lol
I believe if you push, then declare your actual hand, someone can call you and if ruled upon your hand will be declared dead (if you have declared your actual hand. Of course poker being poker, lying is acceptable!)

If you bought in for this comp then I see no excuse in folding.
Also, your explanations seem to exclude the possiblitly of doubling up.

that's because my thought process at the time excluded the possibility too!
(no idea why)

Oh absolutly, I certainly wasnt disrespecting him. I found it strange but im sure he had his reasons.

Mmmmm.
I think I dwelt for a few wrong reasons (1) I genuinely liked playing with many of the people there, but with Richard in particular. I am not quite as bad as Paul Parker but I like a little chat and banter and Richard seemed to tollerate me. I like some social side to the game. Part of me didnt want to have trapped him.... (2) I cannot remember playing with a tighter player ( no criticism ) and when he leapt all in I did think he must have a million outs if not the nuts already - I had not long doubled Jeff up and had a feeling of deja vu - I had been up to over 180k chips and the stack was heading south, and (3) I have made some very quick obvious calls in the past which I wish I hadnt - I have been trying to force myself to think before the obvious ones. I know that has slowed me down but I think that is temporary.
I think that Richard will know that my delay wasnt out of disrespect to him.

I know, except I already have the image. Any self respecting player would be "at it" with abandon for about two months starting now.
There's an idea
