Pretty certain the entry fee was $10k- this is a Ladbrokes sponsored poker tourney and the entry was denominated in dollars - think the entry of 10k is incorrect

both pokerpages and poker in europe have only euros listed as the currency.

According to the advert in Poker europa July 2005 (page74), the buy in was $10000. I guess they misprinted it as 10000 in the press release, but put the  amount in the payouts?

Thats about as definitive as I can do.
