This threads awfully serious, are you all really worried that much?

Totalise referes to "optimally perfect players" arising as a result of these pieces of software.

Impossible, forget that.

Firstly would you really want a peice of software making reads for you, following betting patterns, and calculating odds for you? I would'nt, whats the point? wheres the fun in that, its what your supposed to be doing and its the part of the game that makes it uniquely attractive.

if you want to make a living at poker without the move making and card reading then theres plenty of people that do that without the aid of questionable poker software, its called playing 4 $0.50/1 games at the same time for ten hours a day, and i for one am unwilling to believe that a peice of software could significantly improve my profit.

I dont know if i've ever come up against a pokerbot(in a ring/stt) game but i really couldnt care less.

This game isn't chess and i'm increduluous that a machine can be taught to play a game that relys so heavily on human instincts better than i can, bring it on.

This seems to be a grey area, as is most things on the internet, in terms of its legality, but aside from ambigous rules that differ with respective site discretion i dont think that theres to much to worry about.

Sure, the way in which certain sites conduct themself's is the cause of exasperation to some and it seems as though the issue of multiple accounts, poker software and pokerbots is high on everyones agenda but unless someone has devised a way to read my cards i welcome all forms of poker software that are used against me

If it really is the pc generation that are wholey responsible for this apparent transgression of online poker then what are they going to do in live games, how are they ever going to improve? turn up with a huge satelite on their heads and start waving oversized peices of computer equipment in peoples faces to see if their bluffing?

The really good players dont need to use this cr@p, the ones that do couldnt have been doing vey well in the first place and the novices that are using this stuff straight off are incapable of utilising its potential.

chill out Grin

Apparently we need to be serious at all times from now on Bolt.

bolt I'm always chilled m8 but I'm talking about sngs and you're talking about NL cash, 2 completely different things.

No disrespect, but anyone who says

is either talking about something completely different to me or hasn't got a clue what they're talking about.

I would be willing to bet my house that if we could somehow work out who are the top 1000 sng players in the world 80%+ will have used sng pt at some point. Have you got it? Have you ever used it? It is a fantastic tool for playing sngs. You could sit down with a bit of paper and spend 15 minutes doing each ICM calc or you can plug the numbers into the software and it does it for you.

As soon as you're down to 10 BB's or less in a sng especially around the bubble if you put the correct info into sng pt it does tell you how to play perfectly. Eastbay deliberately made the program so that you can use it as a learning resource not a real time aid to tell you how to play.

If this Kill Bill software does something similar in real time (which I don't know if it does or not) then I think it's a bit naughty. Anyway I don't play sngs anymore so you're right, I couldn't really give a monkeys.

Would this include poker software that works as a team.

They have knowledge, not of your hole cards, but each others.

As such, with a few of them at your table, they can overcome any edge your human instinct may gain you.
