Can i get some advice on Pot limit.
First on the betting. Using this as an example
payer A SB 20
Player B BB 40
Player C calls 40
My turn and I want to make the biggest bet possible. I make this 180 made up from 40 to call plus the pot so far 100 plus my 40. (40+100+40) Does this make sense not sure if describing right.
Also are there any threads on the site that give general advice on pot limit and the type of hands to play/avoid.

That makes sense.

Just times the small blind by 7 and add on any limpers.

That was it Tikay had told me before but I thought he said 3 times blind which I never understood.  Now it makes sense, must listen more carefully next time.

Oh dear, I thought it was different.

If you want to raise the pot I thought you could count your call as part of the pot before calculating the raise. Therefore 20+40+40+40+140.

He calls 40, then raises the pot, which is 20+40+40+40

= 40+20+40+40+40 = 180

like all pot limit games its about flops for holdem its a bit less than Omaha so most hands can get trumped with people calling for value etc in potlimit bewared Tongue
