Bobby George (the darts player) was at my local the other week when some git smashed his window and nicked his, he'd left it on the seat doh.
Also when Phil Taylor (another darts player) came a couple of months ago he said when he put the pubs postcode in it came back "WTF do you wanna go there for??"

I had the TomTom300 and it was really great, so easy to use.  The only thing was, to get from Hanger Lane to M25/M4 interchange, it recommended going down the A406 and taking the M4, when obviously a better route is the A40/M25.  Also, it doesn't work in the City because of all the tall buildings.

I only sold it because I memorised all the roads in London, Surrey, & Oxfordshire, thus rendering the unit useless for me.  In conclusion, highly recommended.

I find tall buildings only block the signal for a few moments but the map stays on screen.

Good value unit IMO, if you do a lot of travelling to obscure casinos  Roll Eyes

definitely the later model satnav's  have much more powerful anetennae, so the reports of lost signals has greatly reduced.

I personally like the NAvman ones.

If I were to buy a Nav system i'd go for smartnav.

It does cost a bit more but it is a live system with alot of options.

You do not have to worry about security and it is transferable
