Ok, you've got four to the nut low in 8-or-better on the flop, what are the odds you'll make the nut low on either the turn or river?

Depends how many card Omaha Hi-Lo you are playing......

But if you answered THAT question, then I'd say "don't know".....!

if the low does arrive your 2-1 on your low not being the nut low as it will be conterfitted

This is what I use when I'm playing omaha - decent odds calculator:

Not sure if it does hi-lo, but useful nonetheless...

because even if you're not counterfeited, you might be quartered? Even if you hit, which you might not

is that the thinking on why not to chase?

Yeah. You need some sort of shot at a high to chase a low draw, even if it is the nut. Sometimes I may bet a tiny amount to pull the whole table in, but that's only to get a little bit of extra value if it hits. Basically, if you're gonna chase the low with no high potential, then you're gonna need a heap of players in the pot with you. My advice. Don't put in too many chips chasing the low.
