i would love to see some discussion of stack sizes and how it makes a difference to the way you can play.

I think that when stacks are deep then tournament play is very similar to cash game play, is this correct?

I play 6 max NL at Absolute where you can buy in for up to 200BBs. I have played around with buying in with 40BBs, 100BBs and 200BBs and I think there are substantial differences in play between each of them. Is 67 BBs enough to make limping UTG+1 with T9s a profitable play? I guess (and it is a guess) not. But I could easily be wrong.

At least you can see where I'm coming from. It is very possible that while trying to learn cash I have forgotten much of what I used to know (not a lot Smiley ) about playing tourneys and playing with more than 6 to a table.

Congrats on your excellent result BTW.

I don't like limping with these sorts on hands in EP. I thinking playing drawing hands outta position is one of the hanrdest things to do well in NLH.

It depends how you play, if i have 67BB i limp T9 suited, i think i can find ways of winning without hitting. Some people who play tighter might make a loss playing T9 simply for the value of the hand.

If it is you need to hit you are probably a favourite with 9 flush cards and six straight cards twice, c58-60%

Perfect flop for you, you have so many outs that against almost any hand you are 55% at worst... so i am looking to get my chips in on this flop, by check raising.... I don't see check/calling as an option here at all...

I agree with these if the pot was heads up - but its a multi way pot and against two opponents i'd play it with a little more caution. Yes you still might be a slight favourite but 3-way that way only mean being 40% to win the pot. Worse case senario is being up against hands like  and  where you suddenly find you are a 3-1 underdog.

In a multi-way pot i'd probably check/call to try and get a cheap card on the turn and then re-assess the situation.
