no, never.  And I wouldn't dream of asking either!  Only time I would do this is if I was playing poker with my brother round his coffee table.....and he'd say no as well Sad

what if someone asked you in a non-poker sense?

I always asked and they never showed...  I thought the reason was that they were  shy....

I've had this loads of times, i always say yes then muck Cheesy
2 main reasons:-

Firstly i never show, ever in a serious game.
Secondly it will do his/her head in.

I think whatever you choose to answer (or not answer), you need to be consistent. Otherwise there is too much chance of giving away information.

I am inclined to say nothing. If I am playing against an "ego" player though,I think I am inclined to ask, since you are likely to get a bit of info...
