i can see a market in interactive tv poker programs of the future where you will be able to choose which player at the table you would like to be for a particular hand, and you can only see their hole cards. would give a better insight into the game.
For serious players, it would be great to see a tournament from one player's eyes (or maybe a couple of players to keep things moving). They could say what they were thinking at the time, and others could offer their opinions, etc., on certain hands. Would be a brilliant learning tool as well.
However, what sort of audience would that get? I'd definitely watch it - but would there be a big enough market for it? If someone was bold enough to try it, I guess we'd find out.
it seems to me to be an extension of the "playercam" idea on skysports at the moment for the football. lets you see the game from one players perspective. the technology isnt that difficult, or much more of an overhead than actually filming the whole event. you can be assured that the future will hold much more exciting things that this....
As I mentioned on the same thread Diamond posted on the mob.
The EPT coverage did do this for the odd hand.
Played out from one players perspective allowing you to think what you would do.
Then you would see the cards at showdown, or if folded, show them from the rabbitcam after to see how well you did.
The skycam idea is brilliant and could happen. You select to see no hole card, all hole cards, or choose one players cards to see.
Watch the whole tournament from a player that you admire.
