If you had your choice of WPT events what one would you pick?

In December for example there is the Bellaggio 5 Diamond Classic at $15K buy in, and in January there is the Carribean Poker adventure in the Bahamas, ( can you guess my choices?)

Out of the whole tour there are some fantastic venues played and locations visited, so what would be your pick and why?

Probably the Carribean.  I have to admit to not knowing where they all are, but you can't argue with the Carribean.

do all the WPT events start with double stacks? I'd prolly go for the 5 diamond classic, 30k in chips and low slow structure, even i could make it to the second day with that (or go out in a blaze of glory on a rediculous bluff, which would be ok as well)

We did the Atlantis this year and it was great - but we were there for 2 weeks and that was too long. We're going to do something pokerish in january again - and it's probably Vegas.  More variety in vegas - in Bahamas a lot of young americans throwing their chips about in nothing, I prefer a steadier game.

Atlantis was great. If you have family it is an unbelievable resort. We stopped off in New York and did that as well. If you are going just for poker it has to be Vegas. Depends on your priorities. Either way there is steady money on the single table sit n go's. Just as well as Atlantis food is seriously overpriced.

You should have played the cash games at the Crystal Sands, more fish than in the big tank at Atlantis.

I think 2 weeks in Atlantis would end up with me on the top of it with a sniper rifle, it's all just too fake. Beautiful to look at though.

Was at the Atlantis for the WPT in Jan 05 when John Gale won and also in Vegas for both 05 and 06 main events and i can honestly say that there wasnt much difference in how the cards looked at either venue.

The above three occasions have been the only time i've played a live cash game as well - and made a profit all three times Smiley long live the "young americans throwing their chips about with nothing"!!

the bellagio for me...never played there and that's the one place I want to go. (have been on holiday in the bahamas but never played there). I wouldn't say no to either one if someone offered it to me though Wink
