Brand new year, brand new start after a few weeks off the cash tables.

Sigh... shame about the $680 I just lost.

Aah well, will keep plugging away. Anyhow, this was one of the three hands where I got cleaned out. Did I play it badly? I'm not too sure.

All feedback gratefully received. Cheers.

I think if he had AA-QQ he woulda 3 bet the flop, so he prob either has a set of Jacks or a flush when he pushes the turn. I could be being very results orientated here tho cos you er put the result in Smiley

would you have called if he pushed the flop instead of calling?

Yep, I'd be losing my money here too.

Would you have played it much differently if it had been you with the  ?

Ah when suited connectors go wrong.  I've got the tee-shirt.  They are overall losers in my poker tracker stats (mostly 6 handed).  I'm actually going to play far less 6 handed this year, as my hand reading skills are simply not good enough for the marginal situations that I constantly find myself in.

I'm pretty sure most of your opponents at this level lose their stack on this hand (with the pot so big on the turn) so you will get the money back less the rake that constantly gnaws away at your profits at this lower levels.  Particularly when a lot of the action is raise/call - flop- C bet/fold, 5% to the house.  As your opponents are doing this as well, this play is a loser for everyone.

I've played a couple of 4 tabling sessions on stars 9 handed recently and it was so much easier than the 6 handed I have been playing.  Being able to see all the tables was also a great advantage over crypto's overlapping set up.

oops sorry for off topic rambling Smiley

I think that if he wanted to play the hand, he should have pushed all-in on the Flop rather than giving me the chance to push him off the hand if a non-heart had hit the Turn. $70 seems a lot to pay to see one card.

Yes, I've aldready put £70 in there, plus I have a pair, so I think I'd have to shove it in and hope.

I know that they say you should raise your non nut flush draws and call with the nut FD but I got stacked 2 or 3 times for 200 BBs with mid pair and a flush draw and I decided to slow down a bit with that hand in the future. Top pair and a FD tho I will play fast.

What hands were you up against?

Usually a set for me, which makes my pair pretty insignificant.
