Ok, so I just tried to log into my neteller acct, and was directed to a page which said:

An error has been encountered

Your account has been closed.

Please call NETELLER Security at 00 800 7767 6343 and press 0 then option 2, or email admin@neteller.com.

We apologize for any inconvenience.

I tried calling, no response, emailing, no response, live chat help, no response.

I'm more than a little worried. Anyone else ever had any experience with similar circumstances?

I've never had any problems with neteller.

Just logged in to check and everything is fine, live help is working.

Hope you get it sorted soon.

I'm in the middle of an irate conversation with them too, they've shut down my account for the second time, asking for a phone number which I gave to them the first time. No answers since...

Happened to me on my first Neteller account, similarly scared the bejesus out of me, as I still had cash in it (not loads, but significant to me!)

Called them up and they unlocked it real fast. Not sure why it happens, it might be an automated security protocol, but it shouldn't be a problem once you get through on the phone.

If you do get it sorted not via phone, I would phone them anyway to check. I use Paypal and get emails with javascript about once a week from some hard up west african who wants to steal all my hard earned cash.

I had this happen a couple of months ago, it just took one phone call and a few questions to sort out.

It's the only problem I've had with Neteller in the nine months or so that I've been using them.

I think it's worth pointing out that you should make sure you're calling the right country; I seem to remember one of the numbers they gave me was wrong (maybe it was for Canadian Customer Service or something.)

There should be a UK number you can call, on the Neteller homepage.
