Was flipping through the adult tv channels last night when I came across a bit of poker on some dodgy travel show.

It was coverage/highlights of the 1999 world series main event. The one that Noel Furlong won.

Anyhow, I was amazed by how different some of today's well know players were.

Boy, things have changed.

-- Simon 'Aces' Trumper looked youthful with his long flowing locks.

-- With a full head of hair, a very fresh faced Gus Hansen goes out early.

-- A 50 stone (ok, slight exaggeration) Doyle Brunson gives an interview.

-- A porky and overwight Howard Lederer scratches his scruffy beard. Fat & Bearded?!?

-- Daniel Negranu looks smooth with his greasy slicked back hair.

-- Two Irishmen were in the final 3!!!

Having said this however, Phil Helmuth, looking exactly the same as he does now, exits the table whilst saying, "You called the extra with queen jack?! Queen jack?!?! Jeeeeeeez."

I guess some things never change...

 Cool

Karibiner was telling me the other night he used to have long flowing locks when he was younger.... I had long, long hair when i started playing too.

I'm thinking that playing poker probably too good for the hairline. I'm taking that to mean its a sport's related injury.

Although is it even possible to get a sports related injury playing poker? Musta happened to someone...
