Hope the mods will forgive me for linking, but this is my EPT Day 1A report from Warsaw. Build a who's who of European poker, and I think I came up against most of them today! Jeez, was a toughie.

Good blog. There are good poker players coming through from all angles now. You showed good discipline on your JJ fold I would have done the same. Hope you win the coin flip situations on day 2 and double through a couple of times so you get some breathing space to play your hands. At some point you have to make 1 risky play mid tournament or bully limpers around if they arent trapping. Trick is the timing - so good luck will watch your progress on day 2.

Stop making excuses Simon, & get the job done.

You've only ever met one player better than you, look at it that way. And you can have a re-match.

Only just got up - hoping yesterday was something of a nightmare and I would wake up this morning to find I had 50,000 chips. No such luck. Thanks for encouragement - and Tikay, will play you again any time, any place. Just make sure I have not had two bottles of wine this time, you took advantage of me (and I hope it was just in the poker sense!).

All best to Blondeites playing today's 1B
