I do think they were taking the piss a touch with the number of 'overseas' players and the ICC should probably look at it if we are honest.

Huh?

Overseas players? All of them have lived and played cricket in Ireland for long enough for them to become legible to play for the national team. As far as i am aware all the players in the Ireland team hold Irish passports (the only one i am unsure about is Langford Smith)

Yes but most of them are there because they are paid to be there to play cricket and wouldn't be otherwise. Anyway I think you get the general gist of what I'm saying

Of the 15 players selected to represent Ireland in the 2007 world cup of cricket 11 are Irish born and bred.

Of the 15 players selected to represent England in the 2007 world cup of cricket 11 are English born and bred.
