Tragic for the children in the family, you'd think there must be a point at which the authorities must be able to step in and point out that they are clearly causing long term physiological damage to their own kids and put a stop to it. On the plus side I'd imagine the whole thing will collapse when Gramps kicks the bucket.

What i don't get is the message from religion is usually celebrate life, why can the people who are soooooooooo into it never actual get this simple message?

Yeah thought that myself, when he was talking to at the end in the car you definately got the impression that once you got beneath all the kneejerk responses that I imagine has been kicked into these kids there was a human being who wasn't happy. I'd like to think that in years to come she sees the light and gets the hell out of there. Would have liked to see Louis catch up with some of the family members that had got away. |

I thought it was uplifting that they had not been subject to serious retribution other than the odd bit of fast food getting chucked at them.
In a predominantly Christian nation, a group that blashphemises and misuses the name of Jesus and God in the this hateful manner must burn a lot of folk to their core. That they have just let them be, and not burned down their house/church or anything serious like that struck me as being nothing short of remarkable.
Dreadful that the kids are indoctrinated in this manner, but encouraging that the American society in general pretty much honors it's laws and allows this kind of free speech to occur. Turning the other cheek as it were.

Yeah in a country where any bampot can have a gun, it takes some balls to do what they are doing at military funerals although I can't help but feel they are trying to provoke a violent response as it would justify their 'us and them' outlook. Self-fulfilling prophecy and all that jazz
