For me one it got to the last 4 Higgins was the bet but I couldn't contemplate backing him at the price.

It may pay just now to stick a bet on Selby just now.  He has had a spirited fightback and Higgins now seems to be struggling I hope though that he digs deep to get the win.

As for commentators I much prefer listening to Dennis Taylor he is by far the more complete summariser.

How long is the break for?   is it 7 pm tonight or 8 pm?  .   It must be nervous times for Higgins now.

Higgins has missed shots I'd expect to pot - what odds a betting coup?

They're going to be here all night at this rate. There could be another eight frames after this one.

Please no!

Am up at 6:20 for work, infact I should really have been in my bed an hr back.

I think if Higgins takes this frame that should be it, it would take a lot out of selby to play the way he has for Higgins to take initiative again.

Another disappointing WC for snooker.

I hope Higgins wins it now.

What has been disappointing?

Although exciting in a different way this year, it seems a lot of winners this year have come from matches where they just missed less than the other guy. Same as last year.

There have been years where people have won just playing astounding snooker against a guy also playing at his very, very best. Years when Hendry, Ronnie, Williams and even Ebdon have won.

The last couple of years had kind of been like the 80's again where it's the guy who doesn't crack who will win, rather than the better player.

I think it's been disappointing they no longer run those sequences containing clips of Terry Griffiths combing his hair, Alex Higgins licking the cue ball and Ray Reardon giggling set to the tune of the Entertainer!

Be careful what you wish for............

I tuned in during an interval last night and you guessed it..........they ran a sequence covering the past 30 years, to the tune of the Entertainer which featured all of the above!

( well Terry Griffiths was armed with a mug of tea rather than a hairbrush but that's just splitting hairs!  Roll Eyes )

I'd tend to disagree as I think the standard this year has been better than it has been for the past few years.  Although I do agree that no one played really exceptional snooker, although O'Sullivan is probably the only player at the minute who is capable of raising his game to a different level.

to be fair, if you had laid him at that point you could quite easily have backed him at a much better price when he was 14-10 down to Maguire in the semi final..

getoutclause....
