So down to the semi finals, and probably not the four players most were expecting to be competing at this late stage.
Current betting for the tournament has
Higgins 11/10 Murphy 11/4 Maguire 7/2 Selby 11/2
At the price I think you have to oppose Higgins. I believe, that Maguire is more than capable of taking Higgins out at this stage. At 7/2 or 4/1 I think he represents excellent value for the title.
but most importantly, lay Higgins....

I fancy McQuire, he's confident of winning this and playing his best, was a steal at 25/1 at start of tourney. Anyway there will be at least one tim in the final!

I've had some ££ on Maguire in this match, price was too big. Should be some trading possibilities if nothing else.

Another disappointing WC for snooker.
I hope Higgins wins it now.

I think it's been disappointing they no longer run those sequences containing clips of Terry Griffiths combing his hair, Alex Higgins licking the cue ball and Ray Reardon giggling set to the tune of the Entertainer!

John Higgins is a really nice bloke and good player. I felt a bit sorry for Selby yesterday, I am glad he is back in it a bit
Virgo has to be the most irritating commentator ever, all he does is criticise the players . He honestly believes he is as good as they are. Everton and Virgo are a nightmare combination. I like Willie Thorn commentating
